Friends of the Library are now accepting gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and puzzles on Tuesdays between 12:00pm and 1:30pm. We are grateful for your desire to support the library!

Please read our Acceptance Policy (below) to see if we can accept the items you wish to donate.

Materials Acceptance Policy

Materials you give to the Friends will first be considered for addition to the library collection. If the library cannot use the materials, they will be offered at a Friends of the Library Book Sale.

Gifts of this kind cannot be returned.

Money from sales supports the library in a variety of ways.

If you wish to donate materials, please bring them during the time indicated above to the Carnegie Room of the McMinnville Public Library (225 NW Adams St, McMinnville, OR).

Please ask for a donation receipt for use at tax time.

We do NOT accept:

  • Encyclopedias

  • National Geographic magazines

  • Reader’s Digest condensed books

  • Textbooks

  • Materials that are moldy, smelly, or in poor condition

  • Pamphlets/Catalogues

  • Magazines

  • Video or Audio Tapes of any kind, including VHS

  • Equipment or furniture
